Hands on the joint, not just the sore spot.
Manual therapy is skilled hands-on treatment: joint mobilization, manipulation, myofascial release and neural mobilization, chosen from what your examination actually showed. It is not a massage with a clinical name, and the technique changes the moment your response to it changes.
It is also never the whole plan. Hands-on work changes the signal and buys a window where the joint moves better and the muscle around it stops bracing. What you do inside that window, loaded movement in the pattern you actually use, is what makes the change hold.
Precise, responsive, felt in the session.
Mobility Assessment
Your therapist tests each joint for lost range, stiffness and how it feels at the end of its motion. That is what decides which technique gets used, and on which segment.
Targeted Hands-On Work
Mobilization, manipulation or soft tissue work applied to exactly what the assessment found. You usually feel the difference before you get off the table, and we retest to confirm it rather than assume it.
Load the New Range
Range that never gets used tends to go back. We put the motion under load right away, in a pattern you will repeat, so your nervous system has a reason to keep it.
Schedule your appointment.
You do not need a referral to start. Illinois Direct Access lets you see a licensed physical therapist for up to 10 visits or 15 business days without one, so nothing has to wait on a doctor's appointment first.
Come in and let us look at how the joint actually moves. If hands-on work belongs in your plan, we will show you the change and then load it. We are in-network with BCBS, PPO and Medicare.
You’re all set.
We’ll reach out within one business day to confirm your appointment. If you need to speak with us sooner, call us directly.
