Our commitment

The Movement Guild wants everyone, including people who use assistive technology such as a screen reader, screen magnification, voice control, or keyboard-only navigation, to be able to use this website to learn about our practice and request an appointment. We have built and reviewed this site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard referenced by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Section 504 rule and commonly used as the benchmark in web accessibility law.

Measures we have taken

This site was built, then independently audited for accessibility, with a mix of automated testing (axe-core, run against every page template) and manual review. Concretely, that work included:

  • Semantic HTML landmarks on every page (one <header>, <nav>, <main>, and <footer>), a skip-to-content link, and a single, correctly ordered heading on every page
  • Descriptive alt text on every image, including staff photos and credential badges, and descriptive titles on every map and video embed
  • Form fields with real, programmatically associated labels, required fields communicated in text (not by color or symbol alone), and correct autocomplete attributes
  • Color combinations checked against AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and interface boundaries) in every section background this site uses, with several color values adjusted where they fell short
  • Visible keyboard focus indicators on every interactive element, including the navigation dropdown menus, which now open on keyboard focus as well as on mouse hover
  • Content that stays fully visible and readable if JavaScript fails to load, rather than depending on it to appear
  • Motion that respects your operating system's "reduce motion" setting, plus a manual pause control on the homepage for the auto-scrolling patient review displays

Known limitations

We are not aware of any outstanding contrast, keyboard, or structural issues in the pages, layout, and content we control directly, including the third-party Google reviews widget on our homepage: we've applied a targeted style correction so its review dates and "read more" control also meet our AA contrast target, on top of our own code.

If you encounter anything that does not work with your assistive technology, please tell us using the contact information below. We treat these reports as bugs to fix, not as feedback to file away.

Ongoing review

Accessibility is not a one-time project for us. We re-check this site whenever we add or change a page, and we periodically re-run a full audit against WCAG 2.1 AA rather than assuming a past review still holds.

Feedback and contact

If any page, form, or feature on this site is difficult to use with assistive technology, please let us know. We will respond within 5 business days.

If you would prefer to complete an appointment request over the phone rather than through the form on this site, we are glad to take it that way instead.
