Sports Performance Testing in Chicago

Better performance starts with better information. We measure the systems that actually drive it, so training and rehab are built on data instead of a guess.

The goal is not to collect data for the sake of data.

A Performance Profile measures what is actually missing, whether that is strength, power, balance, visual tracking, vestibular control, movement strategy, or readiness to load. Rather than guessing why a plateau or a recurring issue keeps showing up, we test the systems involved directly and use what we find to guide training and rehabilitation.

Evaluations may assess strength capacity, force production, landing strategy, limb asymmetry, balance and postural control, visual tracking, vestibular control, movement strategy, and sport-specific readiness, using the same technology platforms sports medicine and performance programs rely on.

Force plate testing measures force production and landing strategy
Dynamometry tracks objective strength and side-to-side asymmetry
BTrackS and RightEye assess balance and visual tracking
Vestibular First goggles assess eye movement during vestibular testing

A Performance Profile may be helpful if you are:

Cleared is not the same as confident, and a plateau is not always a training problem. If any of this sounds familiar, objective testing is a faster way to find out what is actually going on than guessing your way through another training block.

Recognition, precision, then clarity.

Recognition

Before anything gets tested, we identify what is actually limiting you: a strength deficit, a balance fault, a visual or vestibular mismatch, or a movement strategy that is quietly overloading one side.

Precision

We measure it with objective testing, force plate data, dynamometry, balance and visual tracking, rather than an eyeball estimate. The technology tells us what is actually happening, not what it looks like from across the room.

Clarity

The results convert into an actionable plan you can hand to your coach, your trainer or your own training log, with benchmarks you can retest against as you progress.

Pain-free does not always mean ready.

A Performance Profile replaces a guess with a number, and a number is something you can actually train against.

An Objective Baseline

Strength, power, balance and visual tracking numbers you can retest against, instead of relying on how a movement feels or looks.

Asymmetries Found Early

Side-to-side differences in force and control surface on a force plate long before they show up as pain or a repeat injury.

Real Return-to-Sport Readiness

A clearer answer than "does it hurt," built from landing strategy, balance and strength data specific to your sport's demands.

A Plan Your Coach Can Use

Results that translate directly into what to load, what to hold back, and what to retest, whoever is running your program.

You do not need a referral to start. Illinois Direct Access lets you see a licensed physical therapist for up to 10 visits or 15 business days without one, so testing does not have to wait on another appointment first.

Tell us what you are training for and what has been holding you back. We are in-network with BCBS, PPO and Medicare, and we will verify your plan first.
