Do I need a referral from a doctor to start physical therapy?
No. In most cases, only medicare patients will be required to have a script on file. Otherwise, you can begin PT anytime. We redommend not delaying your physical therapy while you wait to see a doctor. At TMG, we can get you on the schedule within a day or two and you”ll be on your way to resuming your preferred activities, and, regardless of what it may say on your script order, you are free to choose your physical therapy provider.
