Getting to Know Your Physical Therapist

March 5, 2026

As a physical therapist, I believe high-quality care begins with truly understanding each patient’s concerns, whether related to pain, movement limitations, or difficulty with daily activities. Spending meaningful time with patients allows me to better understand their individual goals, health beliefs, and expectations for recovery. By working collaboratively, we can develop a mutual plan of care that emphasizes education, purposeful exercise, and long-term independence. Ultimately, helping patients regain confidence and move freely again.

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy staying active and involved in the Chicago community. I love exploring the city through live music and concert experiences, as well as trying new restaurants and food spots throughout Chicago. Sports have always played a major role in my life, whether that’s participating in intramural leagues, playing pickup games, or continuing my role as a team attendant for the Chicago Bulls. Being around high-level athletics reinforces my appreciation for preparation, recovery, and performance — concepts that directly influence how I think about rehabilitation.

When I’m not working or staying active, I value spending quality time with my partner, Anna, our pets, Addie and Beau, and our friends and family. These moments help me maintain balance and remind me how important it is for people to return not just to activity, but to the parts of life that matter most to them.

Clinically, my primary interests are in orthopedic physical therapy, with a strong focus on post-surgical rehabilitation and sports-related injuries. I especially enjoy treating shoulder, knee, and ankle conditions, as these joints play a major role in both athletic performance and everyday movement. Helping patients progress from early recovery through higher-level strengthening and return-to-activity is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.

My treatment philosophy centers on the belief that physical therapists are movement experts who assist individuals experiencing pain or limited function. Through patient education, progressive exercise, and evidence-based care, I aim to promote conservative healing and guide patients back to their previous level of function or beyond. Whether a patient’s goal is returning to sport, work, or everyday life, my focus remains on building confidence, independence, and long-term success through movement.
