Adam Wolf, PT, LMT, FAFS

Founder, Physical Therapist, Massage Therapist, Author, Educator

Adam Wolf is a clinician, educator, and author with more than 20 years of clinical experience, known for his brain-based, systems-oriented musculoskeletal approach to physical therapy. As the founder of REAL Physical Therapy and The Movement Guild in Chicago, Adam has spent the past two decades refining the clinical thought process that defines The Movement Guild’s approach, integrating biomechanics, neuroscience, manual therapy, sensory integration, and performance-based movement to better understand pain, performance, and recovery. His reputation for helping people when others have not has made him a trusted resource for working with complex cases.

Since starting his own practice in 2009, Adam has worked with everyone from professional athletes to individuals seeking better movement and wellness. He has worked on staff in professional sports and consults with professional teams, athletes, coaches, and agents to support performance, recovery, and injury prevention.

Adam holds licensure in Physical Therapy and Massage Therapy in Illinois and is a Fellow of Applied Functional Science (Gray Institute). His advanced training includes, but is not limited to, running mechanics, Functional Range Conditioning (FRC), dry needling, Neurokinetic Therapy (Level 3), vestibular rehabilitation, Functional Neuro Orthopedic Rehabilitation (FNOR), and performance-based movement assessment.

Adam is the author of Foundations of Movement: A Brain-Based Musculoskeletal Approach and Real Movement, and has taught thousands of hours of continuing education to rehabilitation and movement professionals. He continues to teach on movement science, biomechanics, applied neuroscience, rehabilitation, and performance, and has served as an adjunct instructor teaching advanced biomechanics in higher education.

Adam is currently pursuing his PhD in Physical Therapy at Loma Linda University, where he continues to study human movement, pain, and recovery through a systems-oriented perspective.

Whether you are an athlete, clinician, or someone navigating persistent injuries or performance goals, Adam believes in an individualized approach grounded in curiosity, evidence, and a deeper understanding of how the body and brain work together.
